Travel & Accommodation

Although the wedding doesn’t kick off until afternoon, we recommend traveling on Friday 27th to be on the safe side.

We know a lot of you are going to be joining us from abroad, so we thought it would be helpful to give you some pointers on how to get here and where you can stay.

The closest big city is Rijeka.

It’s where Neva grew up, and is about 40 min from the venue by car.

If you use Rijeka as your point of reference for travel and accommodation, you’ll be okay.

Travel

We’re assuming most of you coming from inside Croatia or relatively nearby (I’m thinking the Vienna people) will drive - follow your satnav/Google maps etc. and you won’t go far wrong. Parking will be along the road (the hotel is quite isolated, and apparently this is their normal practice).

If you’re coming from the UK, there are plenty of airports to choose from…

Airports

Convenient airports are listed here in distance order from Lovran, closest first.

  1. Rijeka (RJK) - 50 km - 1 hr*

  2. Pula (PUY) - 80 km - 1 hr 30 min

  3. Trieste (TRS), Italy - 110 km - 2 hrs

  4. Ljubljana (LJU), Slovenia - 140 km - 2 hrs

  5. Zagreb (ZAG) - 190 km - 2 hrs 15 min*

We recommend either Rijeka or Zagreb because of easier transport links (marked with *).

A bus runs from Rijeka airport to the city centre.

If you are coming from Zagreb airport, there is a direct shuttle bus from Zagreb airport to Rijeka which needs around 2.5 hours. The shuttle bus company is called: Pleso prijevoz

Accommodation

We regret that we won’t be able to arrange accommodation for you, but we’re happy to point you in the direction of where might be the best places to look.

Air BnB

If there are a lot of connected people (family etc.) coordinating an Air BnB might be a good option.

Air BnB is generally a very solid option in Croatia.

Bus

Rijeka to Lovran:

Autotrolej Traveling between Rijeka and Lovran: Line 32

Line 32, operates from 5am till 11pm, every 20-50 minutes

Lovran to Lovranska Draga (the venue)

Taxi

Bolt and Uber both operate in the area and work well.
